— Our story —

The dream had to wait

Hi, we are a couple from Belarus. Siarhei and Natasha. We live in Poland because we cannot return to our native Belarus due to political persecution. We once had plans and dreams too — for example, to create our own eco-village, a place where people could rest from the noise and rush of the city. Today, we are bringing that lost dream to life in Podlasie.

In February 2026, we found this beautiful, slightly abandoned farmstead — and immediately fell in love with the place. We joke that there is a magnet hidden here, because we are always drawn back. Now we are building that very eco-village here — a piece of our homeland with its own special vibe.

— What is MROJA —

A place where you feel you belong from the moment you arrive

People at the MROJA farmstead

We are building an eco-village where you can come, rest, live closer to the land, and feel at home. Soon there will be glamping cabins, saunas, and a chicken coop. You will be able to care for chickens, grow your own garden bed, and plant a tree.

Future life at the MROJA farmstead Garden beds and nature at MROJA Life closer to the land at MROJA

For now, the farmstead is only being born. Help with hands-on work is always needed here, and there is always someone to meet, work with, and immediately see the result of your contribution.

It is a way to restore yourself by reviving a home that no one gives a chance. It is therapy through speaking with your own people about what is yours. Here, you do not need to explain anything. MROJA is a place where you are understood.

— Farmstead legend —

The house burned down completely in a fire

MROJA farmstead before restoration MROJA farmstead after the first works

People who once lived here or are connected with this place have already started writing to us. That is how we learned that there used to be two farmsteads here, where the families of two brothers lived.

One day lightning struck the house of one of the brothers. Fortunately, no one was hurt, but the house burned down completely. Then local people gathered together and quickly built a new house.

Our dream is to restore the farmstead together again: with Belarusians, Poles, and everyone who wants to join

How to come to MROJA

MROJA guests by the fire

MROJA is at the very beginning of its journey. We are only starting to set up the farmstead, so for now we cannot offer a comfortable holiday or ready accommodation. Right now, all we have is space for tents, nature, a fire, good people, and the chance to create this place together.

What to know in advance

  • You will need your own tent and everything necessary for staying in nature.
  • There is no permanent water supply or usual infrastructure at the farmstead yet.
  • The conditions remain quite simple and camp-like.
  • We cook, work, rest, and help each other together.

How to join

  1. Fill out the participant form.
  2. Choose convenient dates for your visit.
  3. Tell us what you would like to do and what role you are ready to take on.
  4. After that, we will add you to the private participant chat.

In the chat, we get to know each other, share important information, discuss logistics, arrange shared trips, and help one another prepare for the visit.

If the idea of creating MROJA together with us feels close to you, we will be glad to meet you.

I want to come!

What has been done and what is needed next

We have already done a lot with our own hands. But the further we move, the clearer it becomes: for MROJA to become a place for people, we need support.
